Finger painting

At Sunday School today, Miss Betty Ann let Lance fingerpaint. It was the first time he has done this on paper. He did not have one ounce of paint on him which completely surprised me. A couple of weeks ago she had him put his handprints on the wall of the 2 year old room. She is definitely daring. This is the first piece of artwork that is going to be saved from Lance.

It was a very special day. Lance loves to see Miss Betty Ann. Every Sunday he tells me in the morning, mommy I'm going to see Miss Betty today. Here is an image of it.

Pumpkin Patch part 3

The kids with their pumpkins.
Jasmine wanted in on the action too. She wanted to look like Charlie Brown.
This is part of the orchard that we went to.

Pumpkin Patch Part 2

Jasmine found a magical pumpkin she just didn't want to set done. She thought someone was gong to take it.
This is Seth picking up that Great Pumpkin. I have no idea how much it weighed.
Lance roaming through the patch searching for the perfect pumpkin.
Jasmine guarding her pumpkin so no one would come by and scoop it up.
I thought this cut off was cute.

Today we went to get some pumpkins for this year. Rob's friends from work, Chris and Seth, joined us. First we started on the hayride up to the patch. The pumpkins were so picked over already. Who would know? It was a beautiful fall day. We picked out a pumpkin for Jas and Lance then bought some great apples.

Pumpkin Fest

This past weekend we went to the pumpkin lighting. It was the first time we went to this event. We thought the pumpkins were great. There were about 200 hundred pumpkins lined up. We went to the petting zoo, went on the swingset, and saw all the pumpkins. We had a great time. I took a couple of pictures, but the lights don't look that great.

The Rodeo

We took Lance to the rodeo during the weekend of the Southside Festival. Poor Lance his eyes started watering and getting really red. I had to give him Benadryl when we came home. He had a great time watching the bulls and mustangs. We all had fun at the rodeo. We took Jim with us. Jasmine had a football game so she didn't go.

Southside Festival

Jas and Lance on the camel

Lance loving the horse.

We went to the festival for the second year in a row. This year we had a special treat of Jessie and Donita singing for us. They were part of the opening ceremonies. They sang a song from her childhood called Southside Pride. Both of them were amazing there.

Of course, I had to get a funnel cake. Every year I have to treat myself to one. The best part of the day was when Lance and Jasmine were riding a camel. Lance, of course, would not go on the camel without Jas, but he did ride the horse by himself. We had a great time there.

Starting in August

Lance is blurry with his new alligator that Grandma bought for him.

The girls and Lance together.
Wendy and mom floating in the pool. Enjoying their vacation.

My mom and sister came to visit us late July and the beginning of August. As you have seen, we went to Amish country, Bodies Revealed in Kansas City, and had a great BBQ with friends. We were so happy mom and Wendy came. We only wish we could see them more often. Even being a little over a 1000 miles away is difficult.

A Dancing Machine

Lance definitely has his own personality. I videotaped him with my camera dancing to some electronica music station. When you put on the bouncing music he just goes. I am going to try and upload the video. I thought it was so funny.

I couldn't get the video to upload. It has been over a hour.

Big News in the Peters house

I'm pregnant for all of you that do not know. I am now about 12 weeks and feeling really tired and sick at night. If I do not eat on a regular basis every couple of hours, my stomach lets me know. I am not sure of any details about the baby because I have not seen my official new doctor in Missouri yet. I had my appointment with the nurse on 9/30. She did all the past medical information and gave me a lot of paperwork. I will be seeing the doctor on 10/21 (I think) and will have more information. My due date is April 28th according to the charts, but because of the fibroid history I will probably have a C-section before that. No labor for me!

I'M BACK!!!!

I have been so busy with school and home obligations the computer has definitely taken the back burner. I am sorry to all my friends and family that visit my site on a regular basis. Salena dropped me a friendly letter saying UPDATE YOUR BLOG ALREADY! I will be updating some today and make it a goal to update regularly.
