Happy Easter

It was a great morning! Jas and Lance got up to find their baskets. Of course, Jas did not want to be photographed so early in the morning. Here is a picture of Lance. Then we went to a wonderful church service. It was a great revival.

The rest of the day we sent together as a family. I made ham and scalloped potatoes. Of course, we ate part of the Bunny Cake for dessert. Another glorious Easter.

The same day-- The Bunny Cake

When I was young, my mom used to make the bunny cake with me and Wendy. I had started that tradition with Jasmine. It is a cool looking dessert. Here is the Bunny Cake this year.

The Saturday of nice weather!!

This past Saturday, the day before Easter, it was so beautiful here. I went outside to do some work. First on the list was the spa. Somehow it had emptied so it only had a third of water. My goal was to find out more about it. Well we did it! Jas & Lance tested it out.

Dying eggs -- Aftermath

Lance thought this activity was such fun. He was definitely a ham for the camera. He even turned the bath water a shade of green!

We will give it a try next year. I will definitely make sure the area including the floor is completely covered.

Dying Easter eggs

This was Lance's first time dying Easter eggs. He was so funny!!!! He looked like the Incredible Hulk on his hands. We all had to duck when he put in an egg because he did NOT understand the concept of dropping the egg in. He just threw it in. He ruined at least four or five eggs. He stuck his hand through one also. Jas and Rob were trying to coach him with no luck. He even fell off the chair and flopped to the ground leaving a handprint on the carpet of light green (thank goodness I plan to rip up the carpet), but he was only concerned about his egg. Lance took lessons from Ethan and Abram about drinking the dye. That's what happens when you turn away for even a minute. Through this whole experience Jas was lucky she decided to wear BLACK clothes.

We all had a blast and could not stop laughing.

Jasmine wins the SCIENCE FAIR multiple times

Last Monday Jasmine participated in the Mid-American Regional Middle School Science Fair for the microbiology division. She went for the day and spoke with judges about her project. That night we went to the Civic Area for awards. She placed 1st in her division. We were so proud of her.

She also won 1st place for the whole science fair at her school. She worked really hard on her project. She was determining which disinfectant has the least amount of bacteria.

Yeah!!!
